Kwinten Dewaele has written a Ph.D. dissertion at KU Leuven. He is the author of several articles and book chapters on Belgian corporate law and international commercial contract law. Furthermore, he is the co-author of one of Belgium’s leading treatises in corporate law.
In addition to commercial and corporate law, he has considerable expertise in strategic trade law (export controls, economic sanctions). His Ph.D. dissertation focuses on strategic trade controls on technology transfers in a university context (defense at KU Leuven expected January 2025). Kwinten studied law at KU Leuven (’19) and Harvard Law School (’23).
He was a Fellow of the Flemish Research Foundation (’20-’24) and a Fulbright Scholar (’22-23). In addition to teaching in the LL.M., he will also be teaching Economic Law at KU Leuven (Brussels Campus) in the 2025 Spring Term ad interim.
